Welcome to the Bitton Parish Council website.  We hope that, through this, you can be in touch not only with the Council but with the many schools, organisations and businesses that make our Parish so vibrant and interesting. If you have any comments or useful information please contact the Clerk.

The Parish of Bitton comprises the communities of Bitton, Oldland Common, North Common, Upton Cheyney, Beach, Swineford and part of Willsbridge.  The principal authority is South Gloucestershire Council.  Located around the A431/A4175 the parish lies 7 miles from Bristol and 6 miles from Bath.  It includes part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and gives immediate access onto the Cotswold Way.  Good transport links are afforded via major railway stations at Bristol and Bath, a local station at Keynsham and easy proximity to the motorway network.  The Parish of Bitton offers the differing leisure, cultural and employment opportunities of two of England’s great cities at the same time as village life and rural pleasures.

Bitton Parish Council sees its primary role as providing a local democratic voice for the Parish of Bitton. It aims to support and contribute towards the economic and social life of the communities it serves and to improve the quality of life of local residents by providing services efficiently, effectively and with the best value for money. Bitton Parish Council conducts its business openly and will consult widely with all concerned.
